In this painting I focused on the hands (which I LOVE to paint!) as instruments of creation, play, and connection. It feels like a meditation on balance, control, and the delicate lines that tie us to one another.
The textured nature of the surface allow the hands to become almost sculptural - it's an image of how something simple can hold profound meaning.
This painting is part of a larger body of work and is a true refelction of my mission as an artist: I hope to build a thoughtful, joyful community of people who want to bring beauty back into our everyday spaces, in whatever form that "beauty" may take - so we can remember to pause, breather and wonder again.
