"The Dreamer" shows a quiet, intimate moment suspended in time. There is a delicate tension between rest and awareness, presence and distance. The thread symbolises many things to me which I would like the viewer to discover for themselves.
This artwork invites contemplation and reflection. It speaks to the unseen threads that tether us to others, ourselves and something larger.
This painting is part of a arger body of work and is a true refelction of my mission as an artist: I hope to build a thoughtful, joyful community of people who want to bring beauty back into our everyday spaces, in whatever form that "beauty" may take - so we can remember to pause, breather and wonder again.
