This painting is all about how light can change and reveal things, both in art and in life. I used bold greens and soft pastels to show two figures, sometimes close, sometimes apart, set in a dreamy, colourful space. While working on this, I kept thinking about light as a symbol for spiritual transformation and hope. The loose brushstrokes and bright colours are meant to capture that feeling of moving from darkness into something brighter and more open.
